Abstract
The development of statistical software is an exciting area. Many statisticians around the world are
 using statistical packages to reach at conclusions every day. Developing useful and modern statistical 
packages is thus crucial. In this talk, I will introduce an open source software JavaStatSoft. The software 
can serve as a computing and educational tool for statisticians and college teachers.
